These Terms describe the rules for using Chefy Recipe Manager (“Chefy”, “we”, “us”). They apply to our website, apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Additional rules may appear in specific parts of the Services; those rules are part of these Terms.
You must be an adult under your local law to use Chefy on your own. Minors may only use Chefy under a parent or guardian’s supervision.
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
Accounts created by automated means are not permitted. One person should not create multiple accounts unless we approve it.
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or create risk to others.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not sell, license, rent, distribute, reverse engineer, or build competing services from Chefy, nor copy or republish the Services except where expressly allowed by the app’s features.
We may update, modify, pause, or discontinue the Services without notice. We do not promise ongoing support or maintenance.
All intellectual property in the Services (excluding User Content) belongs to Chefy or its licensors. No rights are granted except as explicitly stated.
If you send feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
Your responsibility. “User Content” includes recipes, images, notes, or other content you upload or import. You are responsible for your User Content and any legal issues it creates. We are not required to host or back it up and may remove it at any time.
License to Chefy. You give Chefy a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and adapt your User Content as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Services. You waive moral rights where allowed by law.
Respect rights. You must not upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or other rights.
You agree not to post or transmit content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, deceptive, or otherwise harmful; distribute spam or malware; harvest other users’ data; interfere with the Services; attempt unauthorized access; scrape data; or use automated tools to overload Chefy.
We may remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Chefy may link to third-party sites or services. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content or policies.
You are responsible for your interactions with other users and any disputes that arise.
Recipes are submitted by users and are provided for general information only. We do not verify ingredients, methods, or safety. You are responsible for food safety, allergies, and verifying instructions with trusted sources.
Chefy may offer paid features. Pricing, billing terms, and renewal details will be shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the applicable store or account settings before renewal.
Purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to their terms. You are responsible for managing those subscriptions through the relevant store.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHEFY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, OR LOST DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO USD $50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
You agree to indemnify and hold Chefy and its affiliates harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your User Content.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk to others. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive will remain in effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post changes on the Services or notify you. Continued use after updates means you accept the changes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, unless your local consumer laws require otherwise. Disputes should be brought in the courts where Chefy is based, except where local consumer protection rules apply.
If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder still applies. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them as part of business changes.
